I might remind spring that it's time to arrive by re using this quote, as in Western Australia it's been rather cold of late.

As you spring back into step to get outside to walk (as the weather improves) remember to stand tall, lift yourself up so that you have more room to breathe and feel the deeper breaths that you can take. Feel your feet also, and check your feet are well supported if you are wearing shoes. If you are at the beach, enjoy the feel on your feet.

Have you checked how well you are doing your abdominal muscle bracing yet during your pregnancy? Have you noticed a gap or bulge between your muscles when you get up from lying or out of the bath or a chair? Postnatal Fitness Programs

Our postnatal exercise class starts again on the 18th October, suitable for mums who have already had their 6 week check with their obstetrician and midwife, and often for mums who have seen the physio Dianne also at the practice. We will also be starting to add a new online support program for mums who are seeing Dianne or attending the class. Contact Dianne for more information.

Have you got your copy of As Your Shape Changes. Our booklet gives you the baseline for checking your abdominal muscle separation, your bracing and postnatal core recovery and your pelvic floor fitness. It includes checks to do before returning to sport and fitness activities. When you see your physio or fitness professional for your postnatal fitness checks take your booklet with you.
