At last spring has sprung here in Australia! What a lovely time of the year to be having a baby. Are you pregnant and wondering about your body shape changing as your baby grows? You may be asking yourself many questions – such as, how much weight will I put on and what is a normal weight gain? Can I continue my usual exercise routine to stay fit and healthy? I feel heavy through my pelvis. Is that normal? My back aches here or there. I wonder if that’s something I should expect while I’m pregnant? And what’s that ‘gap’ in my abdominal muscles? Will my body ever go back to the shape it was, once my baby is born? Answers to these questions and much more information can be found in our wonderful little booklet, As Your Shape Changes. All women will certainly experience changes to their body throughout pregnancy. This booklet has been designed to help you monitor these changes and assist you in returning to your pre pregnancy shape. Ideally, this booklet should be taken with you to all your appointments so your changes can be recorded. As Your Shape Changes written by Dianne Edmonds has stood the test of time as the first edition was printed right here in WA in 1997. You can imagine the excitement at The Pregnancy Centre when we ran the 4th edition in 2011, and it’s still going strong! If you don’t have a copy and would like one, please visit our products page and we will be happy to send you one of our 'home grown' booklets.
