Hi. After a break our newsletter is back, with our podcast renamed to Running to The Core, where I interview health and fitness professionals working with pregnant and postnatal mums to help them stay active and return to running safely after the birth of their baby or babies.
For the first podcast back, I talked to Jo Cordell-Cooper from Hobart Tasmania again. Jo has a wealth of knowledge and first hand experience working with women, especially those needing more attention following difficulties with their postnatal recovery. She's done running courses and she highlights general running training tips that can be applied to postnatal mums as they get back to running.
Then I met with Bobbie again, a personal trainer who is now on the other side of her pregnancy journey, about her own experiences in modifying her pregnancy training, when she stopped running in pregnancy and how she listened to her body to make those decisions.
